Elder Toller Week #92 :Last email!

Hey all!
Wow what a week! It's been pretty busy which is good. And we had some great lessons this week!
So on Sunday we had a service over zoom with other wards and we were able to have lots of the people we are teaching attend which was great! Kyle and her son watched and they also invited her mom to watch the service too so that was great!

John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
I love this scripture and it truly is true that Christ is truly the source of peace especially in these times of sickness.

We had a devotional with Sister Cordon the other day over zoom and it was great! She talked a lot about the resurrection and the timeline of the crucifixion to the resurrection. She also shared this scripture 1 Nephi 9:6.

But the Lord knoweth all things from the beginning; wherefore, he prepareth a way to accomplish all his works among the children of men; for behold, he hath all power unto the fulfilling of all his words. And thus it is. Amen
She said that the Lord knew about these circumstances that we would have to go through at this time but it is okay because God is in control and His gospel will continue to go forth.

Hope everyone has an amazing day and an amazing week! Love you all! This is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and we are lead by a prophet of God today. I know Joseph Smith was called of God to be a prophet and bring the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ back to the earth. The Book of Mormon is truly the word of God and can brighten our day as we study it daily. Jesus is the Christ and lives today and is always cheering us on to do what is right.
Thanks to everyone for being such great family and friends!

Also if you haven't heard yet, I am coming home tomorrow, Tuesday. See you all soon!

Week #91

Hello everyone!
Well this has been another good week here in the mission field.
General conference was sure great! I always feel spiritually uplifted after general conference. It truly is a blessing to have it. And we can review the talks from it too all because of technology which is super helpful.
I really like President Eyrings talk about praying with faith. And also he mentioned praying to see what role we can have in the ongoing restoration individually.

It was good to have a good amount of the people we are teaching be able to watch general conference this weekend since everyone had time and was home with the coronavirus. Maybe Heavenly Father kind of stopped the world at this time to have all his children watch the prophet and 12 apostles speak messages needed for today's people on the earth.

The proclamation they presented at conference will truly be a wonderful tool for missionary work and help our friends we teach learn more about prophets and apostles and the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Have a wonderful week and good day! Love you all!

Week #90

Hey all! I'm doing good! Hope all is well with everyone.

We are doing good and still teaching a few of our people over the phone.

Alma 8:15
15 Blessed art thou, Alma; therefore, lift up thy head and rejoice, for thou hast great cause to rejoice; for thou hast been faithful in keeping the commandments of God from the time which thou receivedst thy first message from him. Behold, I am he that delivered it unto you

I really like this scripture and know that when we have discouraging and tough times we can know that there is one person cheering us on all the time. That is Jesus Christ. All we need to do is do what He asks us to do and we can take comfort that He is proud of us for pushing through tough times.

Love you all! Have a wonderful day and a great week!

Week #89

Elder Toller and his companions in isolation took part in the mission-wide challenge to create a video acting out  a Book of Mormon story. Enjoy!

Week #88

Hey all!
Well this has been a pretty interesting week.
I am doing well and feeling healthy. A few days ago they decided to keep us inside and just do teaching through video calls. We can still go to the store and can go outside 3 times a day for exercise. So it's not a total lock down.
So anyway, we have been teaching a few of our people on video calls and doing member video calls to share a message and it is going good. Thank goodness for technology! It truly makes missionary work even faster and also really efficient.

I really like this quote by Elder Anderson..."Look back, remembering that you proved your worthiness in your premortal state.  You are a valiant child of God, and with His help, you can triumph in the battles of this fallen world. You have done it before, and you can do it again."
We can do hard things and it has been a part of ourselves since the pre-earth life. We knew life would be hard but we knew that we can handle anything.
All is well!
All is well!

I really like this video by president Nelson. It truly is neat and you can tell he is a prophet of God.

Hope everyone is doing well and has. A good day and great week! Love you all!

Week #87

Howdy all!
I am doing better and feeling great! This week was pretty good. It has been raining like crazy here and will keep raining until Thursday. So it's exciting times. Our mission is still doing well. We can't shake hands with anyone but that's the only real restriction.

John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

I love this scripture- it's great because especially when times are crazy we need to remember Christ is close to us and he can help us through these tough times.

We had a neat experience doing the sacrament for a member. Earlier that day the member was having respiratory issues but as she took the sacrament she felt so much better. The member was super thankful for the opportunity to take the sacrament. I just felt like that experience was Christ saying it will all be alright and we will get through this tough time.  It was pretty neat to do a sacrament service at home.

Hope all is going well! I'm doing great and feeling better! Thanks for being awesome and for the prayers! Have a great day and week! Love yall.
