Week #84

This week was pretty good!

We had zone conference this week! We talked a lot about improving teaching skills. We watched a video from the district and it was good. I liked how it said to ask heaven inspired questions and pausing and letting the spirit guide us in our lessons with the people we teach. We also talked a lot about general conference and we were challenged to read the Joseph Smith history before conference.

I had to share a scripture in zone conference and I shared Alma 37:16-17:

16 But if ye keep the commandments of God, and do with these things which are sacred according to that which the Lord doth command you, (for you must appeal unto the Lord for all things whatsoever ye must do with them) behold, no power of earth or hell can take them from you, for God is powerful to the fulfilling of all his words.
17 For he will fulfil all his promises which he shall make unto you, for he has fulfilled his promises which he has made unto our fathers.

I have to give credit to to my sister Angie for sharing that scripture with me. It was one she liked. I really like it because as we focus on our promises with God we have made and do what is right he will always bless us, just as he has helped others who have lived before us. And he gives you power and strength to continue to do what is right.

On Saturday we had missionary weekend in the stake. So we had a youth come with us for part of the day on Saturday. It was fun to have him with us and teach him the ropes of missionary work.
On Friday we had a mini missionary MTC and it was fun! Me and my companion were assigned to teach the youth how to teach the restoration simply.  It was fun to do role plays and help them teach.

Love you all! Have a great day and great week!

Week #82

Hey all! This was another quick week!

Brad Wilcox came and spoke to us a week ago and it was great! There are pictures below of me shaking his hand.
He said a quote I really like: Don't let the world change you when you were meant to change the world.
I really like that quote and it's super true. We all have gifts and talents that allow us to share God's love through his children. He also talked about how God wants us to improve and be better than we were before this earth experience, when we go back to live with God again.

All is going well! Have a great day and a great week! Love you all!
