Week #33

 Hey all! 

Well this was a great week! So at the first of the week we got an awesome referral! We went by Tuesday and had an amazing lesson with her she was super prepared and loved the message we shared. The Spirit was super strong during the lesson. We also had a great lesson yesterday with her. 

The other day we had dinner with a member and one of ttheir friends. Her friend was super nice and we challenged him to come to church and he came and that was awesome. He is such a really awesome guy and he enjoyed church. 

We are still teaching good people that are doing good and progressing. 

I got called to be the district leader the other day and we have a great district! Everyone is newer to being a missionary in my district so it's really good.

Week #32

Hey all! 

This was a good week! It still keeps raining quite a bit here, it is crazy how much rain we have gotten in the past week!  Hope you all had a great Valentine's day! That was shocking when they made the announcement for missionaries to call home on Mondays and other holidays too. That will be cool! 

There are lots of great people and the people we have been teaching are doing great! 

The other day we ran into someone we used to teach but they moved to LA but they were up here for the day! It was great to see him. 

On Saturday we got transfer calls and I will be staying in Azusa with Elder Jacobson for another transfer - it will be another great transfer. It's a bummer one of the Spanish elders who lives by us is leaving. Us 4 were super great friends! 

So yesterday we went to stop by a lady who had been taught in the past by missionaries and she was having a really tough time. She had some great questions about God's plan for her and she loved the plan of salvation. It was a great lesson. We are going back this week! 

Today were doing a zone basketball activity since many people are getting transferred.

Week #31

Hey guys! 

This was another good week in Azusa!

We had zone conference this week on Wednesday and it was in La Verne which was my first area. It was neat to be back in that area. 

At zone conference our mission president said a quote by a marine commander. He said: 

"When you're at the point when you feel like you can't go any more you are only at 40 percent of your potential.  

I really like that quote because we all have soooooo much more potential than we realize. Heavenly Father wants us to strive to be a little better each day to reach our full potential. 

Our friends that we are teaching are doing good and are progressing really well. We have found some great people to teach. The other day we blitzed with the Spanish Elders and prayed to find a family of 7 and the very last door we knocked this lady opened the door and said that they were looking for a church to go to. She had a family of 7 living at her house. So that was an amazing answer to our prayers. I am so thankful for the gift of prayer because Heavenly Father wants us to succeed and wants to help us, we just have to pray to him. 

We had a great lesson the other day with a family we are teaching and they are really awesome. They have had some trials recently and the gospel is just beginning to bless their lives as they learn more about how it can bless them and their family. 

Yesterday at church we had a guy show up and he said he is new to Azusa and just wanted to stop by. He is really a nice guy. We are meeting with him this week.

Week #30

Hey all!

Well this has been a pretty rainy week! It's kind of crazy all the rain we got this last little bit. Anyway everything else is going good. The rain is supposed to stop by Wednesday. 

The Rams lost yesterday so that's tough for the people here but we will try to brighten them up with the gospel message we share. 

The people we are teaching are doing good! 

I really have enjoyed reading the New Testament this year. I really like this scripture in Mathew 5. Everyone has great light in them and by serving others and helping them, others see that light and it can brighten their day and it also brightens Heavenly Father too. 

                        14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth                                light  unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father                          which is in heaven.
