Week #40

Hey all! This was a great week! 

On Friday we went to go and visit a member and he makes airplanes and trains by hand. It was super neat! I will send some pictures. 

On Saturday we went to a chalk festival and the missionaries in the zone took turns doing our square area. It was super cool. The sister missionaries wrote, "what do you love about your family?" and sketch of the plan of salvation too. Then we would ask people to write something they loved about their family. It was really neat to talk with lots of people.  Also later that night we got to go to a quincenera. It was really fun and lots of food for someone in the Spanish branch. 

Yesterday we had Steven's baptism and it was really good. It wasn't the best turnout but it still was awesome! It was really neat because the lady who gave the talk on baptism was a convert and so is our bishop so they both gave very powerful testimonies. Steven was so happy and said he felt really good at the baptism. I love baptisms because there is always such a special spirit there. 

The work is going great and I'm doing good! Hope all is going well with you all!

Week #39

Hey all! 

This was a great week! I loved general conference and it was so amazing! We had our friend Steven come to 4 sessions of conference and he loved it! I got a new companion - Elder Hatch and he is from Orlando, Florida. Today we got to go to the Los Angeles temple and that was super awesome! 

I really like "Mountains to Climb" by Elder Erying. It is a mormon message, definitely recommend watching it.

Week #38

Hey all! 

This was a great week! All is going well! 

On Wednesday I was able to go on exchanges with Elder White, my old companion! It was so much fun! 

Saturday we got transfers calls and I'm staying and will get a new companion. Elder Jacobson will be leaving and going to the Samoan ward. So that's a bummer we're getting separated.

Sunday we had Steven, Liza and Beth come to church and it was awesome! It was a great fast and testimony meeting. 

Today we played basketball and had an awesome time. 

I'm looking forward to general conference, it will be great!
